Janssen Ellison Company works principally in the fields of franchising and creative third-party distribution methods. We help companies enter the complex world of franchising with a plan and more. We help existing franchisors solve problems and break through the barriers to greater levels of success. We can even help bring ailing companies back to full power.
The
company was founded in 1988 by two broadly experienced entrepreneurs and business
expansion professionals who strongly believed that franchising was becoming
stagnant, and that fresh ideas and techniques needed to be implemented.
Janssen
came into franchising as an entrepreneur, starting and growing two car rental
firms before selling out to Avis. Later he established a 200-unit domestic
and international franchise program for the leading computerized barter firm
and then managed that firm's initial public offering. Consulting was next.
Ellison's
introduction to franchising was as a marketing consultant, conducting research,
then helping firms properly brand and package themselves for franchising.
One of his franchising clients in 1979 was Janssen, and the two have been
working together ever since, forming Janssen Ellison Company nearly a decade
later to focus exclusively on advancing the field of franchising.
Since its founding, the firm has used its hands-on, creative approach to franchising to assist companies -- from mature to embryonic -- in a wide array of industries. The Clients section includes a range of assignment profiles for such diverse companies as IBM and Cash Plus and industries ranging from financial services to convenience retailing.
